Awards

EOS Poster Awards
Awards will be given for the three best poster presentations. Evaluation criteria are originality of research, level of information and layout of the poster.
All posters participate and each award represents a value of £500 (approximately €750).

W J B Houston Research Awards
Two awards will be given, one for the best oral presentation and the other for the best poster, describing the results of original, unpublished research of a topic of orthodontic interest. The winners will receive a certificate and a prize of £1000 (approximately €1500). Applicants for the W J B Houston Research Awards must be EOS members and under the age of 35 years before January 1, 2009. They must submit a paper together with the abstract.
Orals and posters must be presented personally, in English, by the applicant, who must have registered for the congress and paid the registration fee. Abstracts with joint authorship are eligible provided that the senior author gives written confirmation that the work is mainly that of the junior author.
The abstract should be submitted online together with a paper on the research project (detailed instructions on the EOS website, www.eoseurope.org).
Applicants should indicate whether the abstract is to be considered for the oral or poster award. It is not possible to submit one work for both awards.
The deadline is 10 December 2009.
